About 3 weeks ago I went to the Thrift store and found 2 old (but awesome) looking vintage camera’s. I had to go through a whole box full of them but I found two great ones. (I think) I got them for E1,50 each. It was way too cheap, so I had to buy them!
First one was the Hanimex 35 Dual Lens camera. As the name already says, it has two lenses. One tele (close range focus) and one wide (for nice scenes). For a more closer look; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6l4_uLF4ro
You can also see some photo’s taken by this camera on the Lomography website. http://www.lomography.com/photos/cameras/3339280-hanimex-35-dual-lens
The second one is a Gepe brand camera. The AWF 35 DX to be exact. It was hard for me to find this one on the internet, and find information about it. Since I guess it was not that popular in its days. The Hanimex on the other had was more popular. But this one has a nice colorway and has a nice vintage look, so that is why I decided to buy it!
I hadn’t done anything with it yet, because I couldn’t find my film. So yesterday I decided to purchase old film for these camera’s. And I just received them! I bought one NEOPAN 400 black and white and two Superia X-tra 400, both from Fujifilm. (http://www.fototuerlings.nl/vintage-cameras/old-stock-films) When I buy regular ones at HEMA, it would cost me around 7/8 euro’s for 3. And here I bought different kinds for 15 euro’s in total, including shipping. So it is a bit more than the regular ones, but I hope the results are worth it in the end.
Soon I will show you guys the results! So keep on reading!
Last week I went back to Berlin for the third time this year! I really love this city because of all the different subcultures and the underground party scene. Except for partying we also did some other stuff. Like a street art workshop by Alternative Berlin. (http://alternativeberlin.com/berlin-graffiti-workshop-and-street-art-tour)

Because Berlin is the most poor capital of Europe (or at least one of them) it is cheap to live there. So a lot of artists and creative people feel drawn to the city. They can rent cheaper apartments here and make a living. As we know it is not always that easy to make a living being an musician or a painter. That is why this city is full of creative people! And that is what makes the city more alive, in my opinion. Those creative people want to express themselves and so do the graffiti artists. That is the reason why the city is full of their graffiti pieces.
First we got a guided tour around some parts of Berlin near Alexanderplatz. The guide told us alot about the art on the walls, that we would normally pass by without noticing. It was fun to hear the stories behind the pieces that were painted on the walls of the trainstations, stores etc. And the stories of graffiti crews in the city. Our guide was a graffiti artist himself and you could definitely see this during the tour. He spoke very enthusiastically about the pieces and the scene. And that is what made it way more interesting. He told us about Creepo, Mr. Six, El Bocho and many more.
After a one and a half hour tour outside (in the cold, snif). We went to their workshop/gallery. Here we got to make our own pieces after demonstrations of local artists. We could all pick a stencil of our liking and had to cut the black parts out. This stencil we used to spray the graffiti onto a piece of carton later. It sounds all very simpel, but the results are great! After some hard work I had my Twiggy piece to bring home with me!
I had a fun time hearing all the stories and doing the workshop, so I would definitely recommend it if you’re going to Berlin with a group :). Berlin has lots of great art pieces all around the city, so stop and have a good look!
It’s November so were in the middle of Fall/Autumn season! I thought it would be nice to show you guys my favorite shoes to wear for this time of the year.
The most practical one is my red 1460- 8 EYE Dr. Martens boots. They’re comfortable and water resistant and add a tough/edgy vibe to your outfit. And the color is also great! I mostly wear black shoes, so this color is a welcome change. I mostly combine these boots with jeans or tights.
Second one would be my favorite at the moment; River Island Black cutout boot with gold buckles. I wear them a lot, so that is why they look a bit worn out hehe. They look edgy and girly at the same time. It is a cutout boot, so you think it wouldn’t be good for fall season. But when it’s dry outside but still a bit cold I’ll just wear socks. Mostly black ones, but it is also fun to combine them with bright colored or patterned socks to give it a different look! They go with all kinds of outfits; jeans, leggings, tights.. everything! That is why I love them so much.
And last but not least; Demonia cheetah print creepers. I really like the pattern on this one! And it is black (my favorite hihi) so they’re easy to combine with outfits. I wear them with socks underneath my pants, but also with socks on top of my tights. That kind of sounds weird, but it looks nice. ( I’ll show you in another post 🙂 ) I don’t wear these as much as the other 2 pair, because I’m a half size and they keep slipping off. Maybe it is because of the platform or something. That is why I would love to get a pair with a lower platform, entirely black, and hope they won’t come off as this one. Even with all this complaining it’s still one of my autumn favorites.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post of my Autumn favorite shoes! Till next time 🙂
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything… Truth is I’ve been quite busy with school and creating concepts for my course. As of right now I’m doing a ‘Event management course’. And I’m organizing an event at the end of January for Warsteiner. So that is where my thoughts have been lately…
But no more excuses! Back to the reason why I came back to WordPress; My new iPad Mini case from DinosaursStudio on Etsy.com. (https://www.etsy.com/nl/shop/DinosaursStudio?ref=l2-shop-info-name)
Etsy is a platform for creative people that make stuff on their own, where they can sell their handmade items. But there are also lots of small vintage stores that are online on Etsy too. If you’re looking for something original or custom made, I bet you can find it there!
I ordered my case like three weeks ago on the Etsy website. And last week it came through my mailbox! I was very excited for it to arrive (I always am, for all my packages, hihi), because I wanted to have a case like this for a long time. It protects my iPad and is also very cute.
Check out my cute ass case!
Someone named Valerie contacted me right after my online order. I told Valerie that I have a smart-cover (back and front) and that this case should be customized to fit my iPad with cover. I gave her the measurements and she made it a perfect fit!
It is a soft fabric cover with red a zipper on top and a front pocket for wires and a stylus (if you have one). Inside there is a striped print. Valarie makes them herself, so they’re handmade. And it is possible to customize the cases to fit your tablet and perhaps keyboard too. There are many other prints available in her store, so have a look!
The sun is shining outside in Holland! Which made me think of this song instantly. It reminds me of the summer! This is a live version of the song at the beach in Barcelona. Enjoy!
For some people it might be too much to combine all those different patterns.. but I love it! Hope you like it too!

Hello there! Hope you guys had great holidays and are well rested to head back to work and school. I know I’m not.. 😄 During holidays it should be relaxing and fun, but for some reason I didn’t find it relaxing at all! I’ve been so busy. And when I think back, I’m not even sure what was keeping me so busy.. Well let’s just say that I’ve been busy with family and friends and spending time with them.
Right before the holidays I was doing some shopping in Rotterdam. And I also happened to pass by Eendrachtsplein in Rotterdam. So we decided to take a look at Dearhunter! It’s a ‘new’ store along eendrachtsweg, owned by a young female vintage lover. I have been there before just to check out some stuff. The thing I like about this store, is that It’s nice and clean. It is also has a tiny hair salon inside the store! The owner arranged all the clothing by sex and by color, which is very convenient. What I like the most about this store, is that every clothing item has been washed and ironed with care. The clothing looks good and it also smells very nice hehe :).
I managed to buy 3 items that day.
First of all a blouse. Which is a bit over sized, but It’s okay since I’m going to tuck it inside my pants anyways. I love the print and the buttons.
The shirt was on sale, so I bought it for a lousy 9 euro’s!
I bought a sweater with a colorful print.
It’s very thick, so It’s nice and warm for the winter that is coming for us. I bought this sweater for 10 euro’s.
And last but not least, a snake skin belt.
I love the structure of this belt. It is also a thin belt, I think it would be nice for around my waist.
I love the store and I surely will be visiting more often! I do have a few more things to add. It is a pity that the store isn’t that big and does not have big collection of clothing. But on the other hand I guess it’s better to have a qualitatively good collection than a big collection full of ‘so so’ clothing.
And one tip! If you go to the store, make sure to check for the price tag. Because it has been clipped on, and might have fell off. If so, then you should ask for the price before you decide if you buy it or not.
Here is their card for contact and visiting info.
I wish you lots of vintage fun!
Recently found them through a Toro Y Moi song on youtube, that my boyfriend sent me. I love the drums and guitar in this song! Enjoy.
